Soham Shahane: An Introduction
Soham Shahane a.k.a RJ Soham is a radio jockey, an anchor, and Cricket Commentator. In his 10-year radio stint, he has worked with various radio stations in India. Along with radio and music, cricket has been his long passion. To quench the thirst for the same, he has been working as an English Cricket Commentator for more than 600 matches since 2011. Confluence all spokes of digital age media, RJ Soham is one of the most followed RJs in Maharashtra. Various television channels, magazines, and newspapers have acclaimed his worth.
His Achievements:
The world changed around him to corporate. International cricket commentator Mr. Harsha Bhogle blessed him. Mr. Sandeep Patil, then Chief of BCCI Selection Committee acknowledged his skills. Superstar Amitabh Bachchan too patted the back of little wonder with all blessings. Being a maiden RJ amid the pious Kumbhmela covering media, an extraordinary talent was spotted by then Honourable Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.
It was in September 2020, Soham started his YouTube Journey. And in less than 1 month, he passed 100K subscribers making it one of the fastest-growing YouTube channels in Maharashtra. Crossed 200K subscribers in the next few weeks itself. Since then it has been a wonderful journey. Both, his roast and motivational videos are loved by the people. Currently, he has 242K subscribers on YouTube and 234K followers on Instagram.
His Struggle Story:
Normally a kid of 11, hardly understands the world around them and babbles in response. Soham, as if age is no constraint for him, just exploded into a sensible talk. However, it took a long time to turn into the propelling thirst-quencher from the flagellating momentum of a child-like Soham. The flag post for his soul searching journey has no end, but few to mention are as follows:
His eyes lurked when it came to his knowledge that voice is an asset. He tried at a local radio station in the spring of 2011. Soham with a school bag on his back used to attend Radio Vishwas daily after school hours for a stretch of 7 years. It was all on the amateur level. A voice got a space to fill and develop day by day. The city was experiencing a kid's voice naturally modulating. A budding wonder was well noticed by visual media viz. ABP Majha, IBN Lokmat, etc. A true journey has no end. Soham, with the dynamite of enthusiasm and knowledge treading the path happily.
Yielding enough confidence he dared to approach Nashik District Cricket Association to try his voice for cricket commentary. He was asked to do commentary in English. In the presence of 25000 spectators, Soham exploded. Spectators were in awe. Equally, parents were not an exception to it. A story started in the pleasant winter of 2011 and continued for many leagues. During the wonderful journey Mr. Rishi Darda, Joint MD Lokmat Group guided him.
Learning from his Life:
The biggest learning anybody can take from his life is that Age is just a number. If you are confident in your skills and have a dare to show them in front of the world, then go and just express yourself in front of the world.
